All of our Shih Tzu are AKC registered. Many of our Shih Ttzu come from champion lines and have tiny quality lines behind them. We produce high quality purebred Shih Tzu. We breed for health, beauty, and loving dispositions. We consider our dogs as part of our family. Our puppies are all hand delivered by us at Cocktail Shih Tzu and well socialized with our children.
We sell our puppies to PET HOMES ONLY with limited AKC registration. We DO NOT & WILL NOT sell to brokers, pet shops, or puppy mills and have the right to refuse service if we feel it is not in the best interest of our puppies.

Your new Shih Tzu puppy will have been de-wormed at 3, 5 , and 7 weeks of age. Your puppy will be given a Distemper- Adenovirus Type 2- Parainfluenza- Parvovirus Vaccine at 7 & 10 week’s of age.
Puppies are sold with limited AKC (American Kennel Club) Registration. You will receive your limited AKC Registration Application as soon as I receive proof from your veterinarian that your puppy has been spayed or neutered. This should be done at around 5 months of age.
Our Guarantee and Contract
Click Here to view our printable puppy Contract and Guarantee. If you are purchasing one of our puppies please print this form, fill out the buyer’s contract information, sign and date. This form is to be sent with your down payment. We will not accept a deposit until the CONTRACT and GUARANTEE form is filled out, signed and mailed to us.
We require a deposit of half the purchase price to hold your Shih Tzu puppy. Your deposit must be received within 5 days of picking out your Shih Tzu puppy or the puppy goes back up for adoption. Shipping cost is the responsibility of the buyer and will be added to the price of the puppy. The balance is due when your puppy is seven weeks of age. If the balance due is not received by the time the puppy is 8 weeks old, the deposit is forfeited, contract is void and the puppy will be placed back up for adoption. All monies are non-refundable. If you are not using PayPal, please send postal money order only by priority mail with delivery confirmation. No personal checks are accepted. Money orders must be made out to Terri Strout. Postal money orders made out to Cocktail Shih Tzu will NOT be accepted.
Be sure you can accept the responsibility of a puppy as deposits are non-refundable, under any circumstances! Once you have chosen a puppy and placed a deposit on that puppy, it will be marked as sold and no transfers or refunds are available.
Waiting List
If you have made arrangements with Cocktail Shih Tzu and would like to be placed on our waiting list, a $500 deposit is required and will reserve your position on our waiting list. This deposit will be deducted from the purchase price of your puppy. Please sign and include This Form with your deposit. You will have the option of selecting a puppy from one of our current litters, or waiting for a future litter in the order of placement. You will have one year to choose your puppy after Cocktail Shih Tzu receives your deposit. Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances.
Breeder reserves the right to first pick puppy of any litter in our breeding program.
Shipping or Delivery
If you live out of state or cannot pick-up your new puppy in person, I can arrange to have your puppy shipped through the airlines. Buyer assumes all costs associated with shipping.
We will ship within the United States for $300.00.
If you buy two Shih Tzu puppies at the same time we will ship them together for the same shipping price as one.
We are located in Cincinnati, Ohio. The closest airport is Greater Cincinnati airport (CVG). The cost of shipping is at the buyer’s expense.
We ship with Delta Airlines -Pets First.
All shipping arrangements will be made by Cocktail Shih Tzu and include the following:

- Insurance
- Shipping crate
- Health Certificate
- Shih Tzu puppy Vaccination and Health Record
- Small bag of puppy food to get your puppy started
We reserve the right to determine when the puppies are ready to be shipped out. We do our very best to get your puppy to you as soon as possible, but there can be delays. Inclement weather conditions, hazardous driving conditions, flight schedules and puppy development are all out of our control. We will not ship a puppy unless we feel that the conditions are safe and that the puppy is ready to make the trip. We do this ensure that your puppy will arrive to your home safe and healthy.
